Since 1997, CenterLine Automation Services, Inc. has provided upgrade and repair services for robots used in plastic injection molding. While we got our start upgrading and repairing controllers for smaller pneumatically driven robots manufactured in Japan we now apply our industry leading know how to robots of all sizes and from every manufacturer.

Ninety-five percent of robot breakdowns come from controller related issues. Robot controllers are the first components to fail, the first components that become obsolete and the most expensive to replace. As the age of the robot increases the cost of replacing CPUs, drives, and boards goes up exponentially. The robot structure and drive train is often perfectly functional but without controls the robot becomes nothing more than a decoration on the press.

By reusing and repowering the robot's existing mechanical structure a significant cost savings over new equipment is achieved. Equipment payback occurs sooner and costly maintenance purchases and visits from the OEM's service department are eliminated.

During the upgrade process we document all of the robots components so that the robot will be fully supported once it is re-installed in your plant. Our engineering, manufacturing and machine shop capabilities allow us to produce any component your robot may need down the road. Our service department will be there to help you with any questions or troubleshooting that arises after installation.
